Over the past decade, we have witnessed a rapid growth in the vibrant start-up scene in the Nordics.

Nordic universities rank high in scientific publications: this means that there is significant potential to translate early-stage research-based inventions into products and services to benefit society.

We at Tech Tour are delighted to support this year the 2021 edition of the Nordic Innovation Fair, together with our partners from Aalborg University, Aarhus University, Central Denmark Region, North Denmark Region, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Region of Southern Denmark, Technical University of Denmark, University of Copenhagen, and University of Southern Denmark.

The 2021 Nordic Innovation Fair will offer unique matchmaking and networking opportunities by bringing together all stakeholders across the Nordic innovation ecosystem. The broad geographical and scientific scope will also make the event attractive for business scouts and international investors, who can get a first-hand view of the newest science achievements and connect with the people behind the innovation.

On 21^st September 2021, in Copenhagen, the Nordic Innovation Fair will showcase more than 120 cases of which the top-rated 30 early-stage business opportunities based on innovative public sector research will take part in Pitching sessions.

The categories this year are:

• Advanced Production & Technologies
• Biotech & Pharma
• Digitalization, AI & Robotics
• Medtech & Diagnostics
• Sustainability

• Matchmaking through pitching sessions and pre booked 1:1 meetings.
• Business opportunities from research institutions in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.  Danish universities and research hospitals, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, have already signed up to take part in the Nordic Innovation Fair in 2021. The ambition is to have all major Nordic research institutions represented.
• Networking: Based on previous events, we expect the 2021 event to generate about 4000 new contacts.
