10 companies are the big winners of the Tech Tour Contest Final 2019 in Essen
Start-ups won a prestigious competition among 2500+ companies from 26 countries in Europe
Brussels, 13 December 2019 - The EWG – Essen Economic Development Agency hosted one of the most prestigious international forums in the world of innovation and technology. The 13th edition of the Tech Tour Contest Final 2019 – the Europe's leading network and investment event for high-growth technological start-ups, venture capital investors and technological corporations – took place on 9-10 December 2019 in Essen, Germany.
EVC Final selection process
The 148 presenting companies were invited as the top-rated companies of the Tech Tour European Venture Contest, selected over a series of 20 regional or sector–focused qualifying events which compose the Final Contest. These 125 companies were reviewed online and onsite by investors and the investor jury on 6 criteria. The presenting companies covered 17 tech sessions over the 3 tracks including Medtech, Digital Health, Biotech, Photonics, Softwares, Hardware & Wearables, Platforms, Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy, Smart Manufacturing, Foodtech, New Materials & Batteries, and Bioeconomy.
The winners, who have got the highest review ratings in each presentation session onsite, entered a final pitch battle for 10 prestigious awards: Healthtech (gold, silver and bronze), Digital Tech (gold, silver and bronze), Sustainability (gold, silver and bronze), and Audience Award.
